The Ogre is a kind of a bad kachina he will take food in place of misbehaved children. Intended to scare the children into listening to their parents. This kachina was crafted by Irving and Burbank and stands 10.25 inches tall. |

The Ogres come to the villages during certain ceremonies they tell the children to either grind corn or catch mice. If when the Ogre returns and the children have not performed their tasks then the Ogre will take the children in place of food. The Ogres are basically used to help discipline the children and keep their behavior in check. |
